Judging from the two above-mentioned governmental systems of the two nations, Takamanohara and Ashihara-no-nakatukuni, it seems that diarchy composed with religious authority and political power should have been the standard of government in ancient times of Japan. This mutual dependence between different spheres, religion and politics, would have given reliability upon the people who had imperiled their lives in the course of nature, because decision of their chiefs were to be transmitted from the Heaven.
