Since Amewakahiko had not returned, Takamimusuhi-no-mikoto, in wondering his behavior, dispatched a pheasant to reconnoiter the Izumo. Hearing Amanosagume said that a rare bird had come and perched on a branch of a Japanese Judas tree, Amenowakahiko shot the pheasant with the special bow and arrow. The arrow, which had killed the pheasant, flied to the front of Takamimusuhi-no-mikoto in Takamanohara through the body of pheasant.
