中東問題が提示する現代が抱える問題

　国際紛争とは、当事国ではない国にとっては、自分たちには無関係なものとして片づけがちです。しかしながら、一見、無関係なように思える特殊な問題にも、どこかしら普遍性を含んでいるものなのです。

　中東紛争もまた、この意味において、現代に生きる私たちに、多くの難しい問題を提起しています。民族と国家、国際法の適用時期、領有権の合法性、国家の内部分裂、原理主義問題、政治と宗教などなど・・・。どれをとりましても、人類の大問題です。

　ひとつの現象から、様々な問題が見えてくることもあるのね、とまあちゃまは、注意深く中東問題を見守るのでした。
