Considering the relation with the thought of Shinn-I-Reki-Unn-Setu, it is maybe adequate that the Chronicles of Japan is not only a history in which significant events worth to be documented in ancient times were described so as to hand down from generation to generation, but also an artificial structure with wishes of the editors for the public peace.
