The Meaning of the Year of National Foundation

Though it is plausible that the first nation in Japan should have been found in the seventh century B.C. as described in the history book, the year of the national foundation, 660 B.C., must have been set up intentionally by the editor of the Chronicle of Japan who wished to give meaning to it.
