Certainly, the myth of Japan has something in common with that of Sumer. For example, both of ancient Japanese and Sumerians imaged that in this world, male and female deities, each of them has inherent characters belonging to natural existence, the sun, the moon, the wind, the sea and so on, live with human-beings. Of course, this analogy seems to be common to most of views of polytheism through all ages and countries.
