      Because for a good while, Sukunahiko-no-kami had gone away to the land of immortality, Oonamuchi-no-mikoto had to govern Ashihara-no-noakatu-kuni by himself and managed to have done it without any support of others. According to the Chronicle of Japan, however, arriving at Izumo, the moment when he tried to declare his suppression over the nation mettlesome and to stand unchallenged, a strange light floated in the sea suddenly.
