Amaterasu-Oomikami

      In spite of the resurrection of Amaterasu-oomikami, this story makes us feel a little sentimental and sorrowful, because it may be imagined that she would have been afflicted with the crisis of Takamanohara. From her attitude, we see that the sun goddess of Japan would not be arrogant like a dictator and not to be omnipotent like the God of monotheism. This Myth would have influenced mentality of the Japanese as a source of gentleness and geniality. Hence the Japanese have enshrined Amaterasu-oomikami as the highest deity of the nation for more than 2000 years.
