Today is the Memorial Day of Japan, because 63 years ago, Showa Tennow issued the Imperial rescript for the end of the war.
On the day following the final decision of “Showa-TENNOW,” on 15th of August, he spoke to the nation of Japan directly, though through a record and over the radio, to cease fire, and that was the first time when the Japanese heard his sonorous natural voice. “…Endure no matter how unendurable, bear no matter how unbearable…,” listening this phrase, people understood everything implied in it immediately; that was a complete defeat after a long and tough fight to the death.
Now, I sincerely mourn for all of war dead and victims in the World War Second and wish for peace in future .
