It seems that each of these three abstract conceptions, the Heaven, the Earth and the Sea would have corresponded to three exalted deities, and moreover to ancient prominent and main nations, the Na-no-kuni, Izumo-no-kuni and Ku-na-kuni respectively, even though it would have been an idea of the complier of the Chronicle of Japan. It is likely that he would have described the Japanese mythology with intention to depict the process of ancient Japanese integration.
