The Conference of the Takamanohara

      Prior to the dispatch of the expedition, Takamimusuhi-no-mikoto asked the myriad of deities who was the right man to subdue the land of Ashihara-no-nakatu-kuni and entreated them to recommend somebody frankly. This attitude of Takamimusuhi-no-mikoto suggests that in those days there was a conference system in order to gather opinions and advices from all of members in Takamanohara. The post of Takamimusuhi-no-mikoto might be a mediator or an initiator for the political decision making far from a forceful dictator.
