ハヤブサがその任務を果たし地球に帰還するという偉業を成し遂げたというニュースは久しぶりに、日本中を沸かせる快挙と言えよう。その喜びの時に先ず頭によぎったのは、この計画が民主党政権の時でなくて良かったと言うことである。日本の先端技術を潰すことに専念している民主党が更に潰しに罹ることがないように祈るだけである。しかしＮＨＫのニュースには失望した。あの美しく火の鳥のように燃え尽き、ＢＢＣではないが,次世代の人の心に不死身鳥のように甦る映像を,アナウンサーの映像よりも小さな枠で報道するそのセンスを疑う。画面一杯に報ずべきだある。少なくとも、ハヤブサの偉業はワールドカップの一勝より大きな出来事である。
