日本書紀のお話４５ －古事記の編年も踰年称元法１＆２

古事記の編年も踰年称元法パターン１とパターン２が用いられていることは、崇峻天皇と推古天皇の古事記崩年干支、ならびに、推古天皇の在位年数が日本書紀と古事記の間で１年違うことからわかります。

日本書紀と古事記崩年干支にもとづく崇峻天皇と推古天皇の末年は、それぞれ、西暦３９２年と西暦６２８年で、同じ年代です。

ところが、推古天皇の在位年数は、日本書紀が３６年間で、古事記が３７年間となっており、１年違うのです。

その理由は、「日本書紀のお話４４」のイラストをご覧いただきますとわかりますように、古事記は、崇峻天皇の崩年干支の西暦５９２年を推古天皇の在位年数に数えているからなのです。したがって、日本書紀では、推古天皇の在位年数は、推古元（５９３）年から推古３６（６２８）年までの３６年間ですが、古事記には、５９２年の１年が加わって３７年となっているのです。

このように、前帝の崩年を次帝の元年として位置づける編年は、踰年称元法パターン２ですので、古事記の推古天皇の段は、踰年称元法パターン２で編年されていることになります。

一方、これもまた、「日本書紀のお話４４」のイラストに示しましたように、古事記の用明天皇の段や崇峻天皇の段は、前帝の古事記崩年干支の年代の翌年を、次帝の元年として編年していますので、踰年称元法パターン１によって編年されていることになります。

このことから、古事記の編年もまた、日本書紀と同様に、踰年称元法パターン１と踰年称元法パターン２によって編年されていることがわかるのでした。
