According to recent studies, people of the Qin is said that they would have not been Chinese, in a sense of Han Chinese, that is a generic term expressing Chinese, but some of Xionites who were nomadic tribes living in the Central Asia widely. Concerning the origin of Xionites, some scholars have propounded different views. For example, one insists that they belonged to Turks, and another a branch of Huns mixed with north Iranians cautiously. These views lead us to a supposition that the Hata clan could have been part of Xionites.
